Not a call center. Not a rotating crew. The same person who quotes your job is the one standing in your home doing it — and putting his name on the result.
I'm Ben Humes, and I started this company for a simple reason: I got tired of hearing the same story from homeowners around here.
"I called a few guys and nobody called back." "The price I was quoted wasn't the price I paid." "They did half the job and disappeared." Everybody in Michiana seems to have a contractor horror story, and honestly, that's a low bar to clear. All it really takes to stand out is to show up, do good work, and be straight with people.
So that's the entire company. Show up. Do it right. Stand behind it.
When you hire me, I'm the one who walks your job, writes your estimate, does the work, and answers the phone if you have a question afterward. I'm fully insured — general liability, commercial auto, and tools coverage — and I document every job with before-and-after photos. Not for show. Because it's how I'd want somebody working in my home to treat it.
I'm not the biggest operation in the Michiana area, and I'm not trying to be. I'd rather be the one you call back for the next project, and the one you tell your neighbor about.
Fair prices in writing, straight answers, and no upselling you on work you don't actually need.
Work done right the first time, documented with photos and backed by a real warranty on the invoice.
I show up when I say I will, I call back, and I follow through — every single time.
Fair question — I'd wonder too. Here's the honest answer: the first job with a new contractor is the scary one. You don't know me yet, and you've been burned before. So I make that first step easy on purpose, because I'm betting that once you see how I work, you'll call me for the next thing, and tell a neighbor about me too.
That's the whole strategy. There's no bait-and-switch — the $50 comes straight off the same honest, written price everyone gets, and the guide is genuinely useful even if you never hire me. I'd rather earn a customer for years than squeeze one job.
If there's ever an "elephant in the room" on your project — a cost, a risk, a reason something can't be done the way you hoped — I'll tell you straight. That's the deal.
The single most important question to ask any contractor is "Are you insured?" I am — happy to show it. It protects your home and gives you real recourse if anything ever goes wrong on the job.
Based in Elkhart and proud to serve homeowners and landlords across the region I call home.
Free written estimate, honest pricing, and work I stand behind — from a local owner, not a call center. New customers get $50 off the first job.
